Proud to Support the 2017 Walks to Defeat ALS
We pride ourselves in actively supporting the communities we call home. This year, we are partnering with The ALS Association Northern New England Chapter to support the 2017 Walks to Defeat ALS.
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is better known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. It is a progressive, fatal neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, resulting in muscle paralysis. Every 90 minutes someone is diagnosed with or dies from ALS. Currently there is no known cause and no known cure for this disease.
At Lake Sunapee Bank we are making a difference in finding a cure for ALS and supporting individuals with a diagnosis and their families by sponsoring and volunteering at the 2017 Walks to Defeat ALS. These walks bring hope to people with this disease and raise money for a cure, along with creating awareness. Participating in a walk is a way to help raise funds vital for cutting-edge research and patient service programs. Come join the us and help make a difference!
